Our most FAQ

What should I do if I get a DUI or something that will show up on my record?
Please contact the Program Director and they will process the background check and usually want to talk with you.
How can I support my Lead Mentor in this project?
It’s a team for sure and they need you to show up, reply to texts, think about fundraising, and bring a positive attitude to the group. Also, feel free to ask them how you can help!
What should I do if there is an incident that happens during our project, such as a kid getting hurt or an altercation?
Please talk with your Lead Mentor first, fill out the incident report form, check out the Mentor Orientation Handbook, and connect with the Program Director for follow-up.
If my mentee is not catching fish, what should I do?
Talk with your lead and problem solve together. Sometimes other mentors have great tips!
My lead mentor asked me to pick up a mentee with another mentor to bring to the outing. Is this ok?
Yes, as long as you provide TMP with your driver’s license and car insurance information, have another mentor with you, and follow the safety protocol in the handbook, transportation is ok. We do not want you having to do it often though!
